OUR STORY
As a collective of coaches we have spent hours on court playing and training, over time we started to notice a pattern. People were complaining about the quality and pressure of the balls - they weren’t wrong.
As a team we set out to and tested all the existing products on the market, we couldn’t find a ball that maintained the same feel for more than one match. The demand of padel balls was becoming unnoticed, people openly using a single tube of balls per match and then having no further use for them.
Portres was born. A solution for an ongoing problem, crafted with quality for the players.
The ball we have created plays fast, bounces evenly and most importantly maintained its longevity. Portres is making traction, gaining the trust from coaches, clubs and players across the uk. From frustration to innovation, Portres is a brand created not in a boardroom, but right there on the court, with real players and genuine passion for the game.
SUSTAINABILITY
It hasn’t gone unnoticed the sheer volume of padel balls being used in the current market. This ignited our mission for the upcycling proposal to sit alongside our premium padel ball.
Our pilot scheme took off enabling us to continue rolling out our upcycling containers across venues in the uk.
We pride ourselves in putting used padel balls back into the system having links with dog shelters, local communities, schools. We are currently in talks with a recycling plant looking at becoming the first Uk provider for offering a recycling method for used balls.
MISSION STATEMENT
The Portres mission is simple. We are entering the market with the intentions of making a difference, making an impact on the environment.
